Project Trainer

We are seeking a Project Trainer to join our client United Utilities to lead the design and delivery of high-quality training that will ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration with SMEs: Engage with experts to define requirements and ensure training aligns with project needs.
- Training Needs Analysis: Create and conduct TNAs to identify learning gaps and inform targeted training solutions.
- Content Development: Design consistent, engaging, and accessible materials (slides, guides, videos, and modular resources).
- Video and Digital Content: Develop screen capture tutorials and short video modules to support ongoing learning.
- Training Delivery & Administration: Coordinate sessions, track attendance and feedback, ensure accurate SAP recording, and report completion data.
- Project Representation: Act as the training lead in project meetings, managing dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Planning & Evaluation: Develop delivery plans, manage trainers and facilities, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Ongoing Support: Oversee deployment through Educate (Discovery), monitor completion post-rollout, and deliver train-the-trainer sessions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in designing and delivering both face-to-face and virtual training.
- Skilled in IT systems, soft skills, and customer-focused training.
- Experience in video and screen capture design for e-learning and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Resilient, adaptable, and confident in constructively challenging assumptions.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and reporting skills.
- Experience with blended learning design, evaluation methodologies, and full-cycle TNA creation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain consistency, and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
Contract Details
- Type: Contract role – 4 months with potential extension
- Rate: £400 - £420 per day (Umbrella)
- Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days from home.
