About The Roles
In this role, you will manage purchasing data and documents across systems such as SAP, MDM, and D.Cal to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will process invoices through Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), resolve queries promptly, and act as the first point of contact for suppliers and internal customers. Responsibilities include monitoring unpaid invoices, ensuring goods and services align with framework agreements, supporting payment approvals, and assisting with system improvements and testing to streamline processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain purchasing data and documents across SAP, MDM, and D.Cal systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and audit guidelines.
- Process and manage invoices in SAP via Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), resolving blocked or query invoices promptly to ensure timely supplier payments.
- Act as the first point of contact for supplier and internal customer queries, delivering excellent customer service via phone and email.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, including allocating goods and services to Framework Agreements and applying correct commercial coding.
- Monitor and manage unpaid invoices, supporting accurate reporting and reducing non-compliant spend.
- Support system improvements and testing, identifying opportunities for process simplification and assisting with new technology implementation.
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong computer literacy for managing purchasing data and documents.
- Excellent communication skills to handle supplier and internal customer queries effectively via phone and email.
- Customer-focused and service-driven mindset, ensuring high-quality support and timely resolution of issues.
- Knowledge of SAP MM and FI modules and experience or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring correct data entry, coding, and compliance with audit and internal control requirements.
What You Need to Know
- Hourly Rate- £ 18.10 PAYE, paid weekly one week in arrears
- Location: Lingley Mere Business Park, Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, Cheshire, WA5 3LP (on site full-time)
- Assignment type: Temporary Contract through Reed Talent Solutions, as United Utilities trusted recruitment partner.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
