An established and highly respected not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the effective management, development and security of its digital infrastructure.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to shape and improve technology services that support both staff and service users. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of core ICT systems, driving digital innovation, managing external technology suppliers, and promoting best practice in cyber security and information governance.
Working as part of the wider support services management team, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, secure and future-focused technology solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain and develop the organisation's ICT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure systems are secure, resilient and aligned with cyber security best practices.
- Monitor, investigate and resolve performance, capacity and security-related issues.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and technology improvements.
- Administer and develop platforms including:
- Google Workspace
- Telephony and video conferencing systems
- Case management and referral systems
- Mobile device management solutions
- Network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, routers, switches and firewalls)
- Websites and online platforms
- Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain ICT-related risk registers and contribute to organisational risk management.
- Manage relationships with external ICT suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor service levels, KPIs and system performance.
- Develop and deliver ICT training, guidance and support materials for staff.
- Line manage ICT administrative support staff and support wider service delivery functions as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience managing and supporting ICT infrastructure and business systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based productivity suites, particularly Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- Experience administering networks, devices and security controls.
- A good understanding of cyber security principles and information governance.
- Experience managing external suppliers and technology contracts.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and digital innovation.
