£400-£500 Per Day (umbrella)

One of my public sector clients' is in urgent need of a Pathology IT Systems Officer, to join their team on a 6 month basis.

This role is to start ASAP, as the organisation is going through a programme of change(in flight). The role will be a mix of BAU support, along with supporting on some programme activities.

Previous experience of working within a pathology IT systems department is highly desirable and as such, initial sifting will be based on this.

Key Skills

Provide day-to-day support for pathology IT systems, ensuring reliable operation, accurate data flow, and effective integration across all applications.

Support system developments, testing, validation, and change management to maintain safe, efficient, and standards-compliant (ISO 15189) pathology services.

Maintain strong technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, analyse faults, manage incidents, and liaise with ICT teams, clinicians, and external suppliers.

Promote best practice, deliver staff training, champion new technologies, and ensure compliance with policies, data protection laws, and safety regulations.

Contribute to service improvement, performance reporting, audits, business continuity planning, and the supervision and development of junior staff.
