I am delighted to once again be supporting my Midlands based client who are building a cutting-edge platform that processes large-scale, continuous data streams in the cloud and transforms them into actionable insights for clients.

You'll be part of a team creating scalable solutions that handle massive datasets, improve user interfaces, and ensure robust security-all while pushing the boundaries of cloud-based analytics.
The role is offered as 100% remote, but must be in the UK with a driving licence and car
What you'll do as the Software Engineer:
- Build & Scale: Develop scalable cloud implementations of advanced algorithms on Google Cloud Platform.
- Innovate: Enhance data processing and compression methods for efficiency.
- Improve UX: Elevate our web-based interface for real-time data insights, integrating new features and products.
- Secure & Test: Implement rigorous web security protocols and validate algorithms against test datasets.
- Collaborate: Work closely with engineers and data specialists to deliver solutions that scale across multiple assets and users.
What my client are looking for in their next Software Engineer:
You're a problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving environment. Ideally, you have:
- Cloud Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement cloud analytics solutions (Google BigQuery preferred) in a commercial setting.
- Python Mastery: Strong track record of building production-grade applications using Python.
- Data Science Skills: Hands-on experience with scientific computing and managing large datasets in real-world projects.
- Security Awareness: Demonstrable knowledge of web security protocols and user management.
- Adaptability: Ability to assess and integrate new technologies quickly.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning.
Bonus points for: Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for building technology that makes a real-world difference.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience delivering cloud-based solutions.
- Demonstrated success in Python development for production environments.
- Practical experience applying data science techniques to large datasets.
- Full right to work in UK without sponsorship for over 3 years
