A new exciting permanent Test Analyst opportunity has become available to join a leading company in the medical electronics sector, developing, manufacturing, and supplying hearing test devices. With over 30 years of global competition, they're continually enhancing their product range, including software, firmware, and hardware. This is an excellent opportunity for a Test Analyst looking to either start or progress their experience in a dynamic team, working on high-tech products throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Test and evaluate new and modified products using both manual and automated software and firmware testing protocols, with occasional hardware testing.
- Collaborate closely with the Test Manager and development team during product development cycles.
- Create and maintain test cases from specification documents for execution and regression testing.
- Report defects and suggest improvements to the Test Manager for development team consideration.
- Contribute to test planning by assessing risks, identifying areas of change, and applying time constraints.
- Participate in reliability, efficacy, equivalence, and comparative trials of products, including data collection and analysis.
- Investigate issues reported from the field or internally by reproducing and investigating faults.
- Support the implementation of new products and produce technical documentation and test reports as required.
- Adhere to formal version control procedures and comply fully with quality system documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in testing electronic devices and/or software applications using manual techniques.
- Comfortable with handheld medical devices running on board micro-controller firmware.
- Experience with automated test tools and/or coding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes such as waterfall, agile, and scrum.
- ISEB/ISTQB foundation certificate required.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is advantageous.
- Proficient with PC, Windows, and general IT.
- Keen interest in new technologies.
