Our client is on the lookout for a Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, user-focused websites and web applications that support the organisation's objectives. You will translate business and user requirements into functional, visually appealing, and responsive digital solutions. Furthermore, ensures that all web platforms are secure, accessible, optimised for performance, and aligned with industry best practices

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain websites and web applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with organisational standards
• Manage the full development life cycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation of digital products
• Ensure website performance, reliability, and responsiveness, proactively identifying and resolving bugs, errors, or performance bottlenecks
• Implement and maintain web security best practices, protecting digital assets and safeguarding data integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-such as UX/UI design, marketing, content, and IT-to deliver cohesive and effective digital experiences
• Provide technical guidance and support, assisting stakeholders with web-related queries, troubleshooting issues, and advising on best practices

The following skills and experience will be essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Web Developer, Front End Developer, or Full-Stack Developer
• Minimum 2 years experience within a similar role
• Demonstrable portfolio of websites or web applications
• Experience working with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development.
• Experience with API integration, version control, and modern development workflows
• Able to travel to the office in Cheadle
