Account Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager to join a leading provider of financial data, technology solutions, and comparison systems within the UK financial services sector.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across an established portfolio of national accounts, acting as a trusted consultant and strategic partner to clients. You will develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders, manage contract renewals, identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and secure long-term commercial agreements.
The successful candidate will take ownership of key accounts, working closely with clients to maximise the value of industry-leading technology, data solutions, and online services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing national accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers, including C-suite stakeholders.
- Identify and secure upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the product portfolio.
- Lead contract renewal discussions and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Drive revenue growth through account expansion and new business opportunities.
- Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
About You
We are looking for a commercially driven and highly professional account management specialist with a proven track record of success within SaaS, technology, or financial services environments.
You will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from operational users through to Director and Board level.
A strong understanding of technology-led solutions, data products, and APIs is essential, as is the ability to identify growth opportunities and negotiate successful commercial outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing SaaS, software, or technology accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex contracts.
- Ability to confidently engage and influence senior stakeholders and executive-level decision makers.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of API technologies and data-driven solutions.
- Good knowledge of technology products and services.
- Strong data literacy and ability to interpret commercially relevant information.
- Significant business development experience within financial services
- Passion for financial services and technology.
- Strong account management and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of personal finance products.
- Experience gained within a bank, building society, or wider financial services organisation.
