A new exciting permanent opportunity has become available to a leading civil service organisation, where technology and innovation are at the forefront of their services. They are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to lead one of the service squads in delivering a major digital transformation program.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and reviews to maintain momentum and foster continuous improvement.
  • Support the team in estimating, tracking, and delivering priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage daily workflow, ensuring progression from backlog to delivery, and use flow metrics to enhance predictability and efficiency.
  • Engage at the programme level, representing the team in sessions to articulate updates, risks, and dependencies.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues, ensuring mitigation plans are in place and act as a key escalation point during live incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement in agile delivery practices within the team, fostering a culture of learning and adaptation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven background in managing cross-functional agile delivery teams.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban, and knowledge of DevOps.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams delivering solutions as part of a wider programme.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of navigating technical and political boundaries.
  • Experience using agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Actionable Agile, or similar.
  • Relevant Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Manager qualification is required.
