Application Support Analyst

• Job Type: 3 month contract (strong chance of extension)
• Location: Remote (occasional travel to Kent sites)
• Salary: £400pd (inside IR35)

We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to manage and support key Windows-based line-of-business applications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SQL Server and experience in handling database migrations, editing text files, and managing user access. Experience in a local government setting and familiarity with specific applications like IDOX Uniform or Academy Revs & Bens, as well as SharePoint Online and other M365 products, is desirable but not essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and provide 2nd line support for two or three key applications.
• Perform database migrations and manage the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
• Edit and manage configurations and settings within text files.
• Add and manage user access to systems.
• Collaborate with IT team members to enhance system performance and provide solutions to application-related issues.
• Ensure the stability and integrity of application data and functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with SQL Server and Windows-based line-of-business applications.
• Strong understanding of database management and ETL processes.
• Ability to perform 2nd line support and manage application-related tasks effectively.
• Experience in a local government environment and familiarity with IDOX Uniform or Academy Revs & Bens, SharePoint Online, and other M365 products is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
