An established project-led business is looking to appoint a CAD Technician to support the delivery of varied engineering and construction-focused projects.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys producing high-quality technical documentation, working alongside operational teams, and contributing to projects from initial design through to completion. You'll join a collaborative environment where accuracy, problem-solving and attention to detail are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for a range of bespoke projects.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Create fabrication, assembly and installation documentation.
  • Review and update design information throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure specifications, dimensions and material schedules remain accurate.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
  • Support document control and revision management processes.
  • Identify potential issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal design standards.

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll likely have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Technical drawing production.
  • Engineering, manufacturing, construction or fabrication environments.
  • Material scheduling and BOM creation.
  • Interpretation of engineering or structural information.
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Working within quality-controlled processes.

Software Experience

Applicants should have experience using:

  • AutoCAD
  • 2D design packages
  • 3D modelling software (beneficial)
  • Document control systems (advantageous)
