The Role
We are looking for an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to join an established Cloud DevOps team focused on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for deploying, maintaining and optimising cloud infrastructure, ensuring that applications and services are secure, resilient and operating in line with best practice.
Working closely with developers and technical stakeholders, you will support cloud-based solutions through automation, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep templates.
- Deploy Azure resources through automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, performance, availability and security.
- Identify, investigate and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
- Troubleshoot cloud platform and application-related incidents.
- Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and improve cloud solutions.
- Provide guidance on Azure services, cloud architecture and best practice.
- Support the continuous improvement of cloud environments and operational processes.
- Ensure solutions are deployed securely and in accordance with established standards.
- Stay current with Azure technologies, trends and industry best practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Hands-on experience with Bicep.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Azure security and cloud governance.
- Ability to work effectively with developers and technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Azure networking, identity and access management.
- Experience supporting cloud application deployments.
