Business Analyst – S/4HANA

Greater London Authority, one of our largest public sector clients based in London are seeking two skilled Business Analysts to support a major ERP transformation programme. This short-term contract offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile S/4HANA implementation, working closely with the Finance ERP Lead to document processes, improve current workflows, and help shape the future Finance operating model.

This role is ideal for a Business Analyst with strong Finance process knowledge, proven experience in ERP environments, and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.

Contract: 3-month, Full time

Location: Southwark – Hybrid work

Pay: £400-£500 per day via Umbrella

About the Role

You will play a key part in documenting all Finance business processes and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the organisation is fully prepared for the next phase of the S/4HANA rollout. Your work will directly support the delivery of detailed “As Is” and “To Be” process maps and the development of improved, standardised Finance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend workshops led by the Finance Lead to review and refine approximately 400 identified Finance business processes.
• Create comprehensive end-to-end process maps using Microsoft Visio.
• Work with stakeholders across Finance, GLA Operational Teams, and Business Services (TfL) to document current “As Is” processes through onsite workshops.
• Support the development of future “To Be” process maps, collaborating closely with Finance and operational teams.
• Develop and organise clear, compliant Standard Operating Procedures for Finance processes, supported by the Finance Lead.
• Assist in mapping system integrations between GLA Ops and SAP ECC, documenting requirements for improvements to interface files.
• Map GLA operational processes currently managed on spreadsheets in preparation for SAP ECC module implementation.
• Compile documentation to support Change Requests across the programme.
• Support the implementation of the Loans Investment and Grants/Funds Management solutions.
• Develop UAT test scripts and support subject matter experts during testing for the Loans Investment Module, Funds Management Module, and S/4HANA upgrade.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within Finance-focused ERP environments, S/4HANA is essential.
• Excellent process mapping capability using Visio.
• Ability to work confidently with stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Experience supporting major system implementations or process improvement programmes.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organisational skills.
