Business Change Manager
A law enforcement organisation based in London is undertaking a major transformation which includes the implementation of Oracle ERP, a new roster management system, and centralisation of resource management. We are seeking a dynamic Business Change Manager to lead and embed change across this complex landscape, ensuring successful adoption and engagement across a diverse and large workforce.
This is an initial contract until the end of March 2026 with the potential to be extended, the daily rate for the role is up to £600 per day via an Umbrella company and the successful candidate will be required to be onsite 3 days per week. The successful candidate will be required to undergo the relevant vetting and maintain it.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for Change Leadership when required, representing the programme in strategic forums and decision-making.
- Design and deliver end-to-end change processes, from strategy through to execution, ensuring meaningful and measurable outcomes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, including stakeholder mapping, impact assessments, and the rollout of change networks.
- Develop and execute communications campaigns aligned to programme outcomes, with clear success criteria.
- Create and manage training materials, including digital formats and intranet content, to support change adoption.
- Apply change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR) pragmatically to the Met Police context, ensuring relevance and impact.
- Innovate to reach hard-to-engage audiences, using creative and inclusive approaches.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure change aligns with system implementation (e.g., Oracle ERP, roster systems).
- Rapidly build trust and credibility across the organisation, embedding quickly and adding value in high-pressure environments.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in large-scale IT implementations, ideally ERP (e.g., Oracle).
- Strong change and communications skills, with a track record of managing high-volume engagement.
- Ability to translate strategy into action, with a hands-on approach to delivery.
- Experience in stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments, and change networks.
- Deep understanding of change management theory and its practical application.
- Proactive, self-starting, and able to work autonomously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build a personal brand quickly.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Oracle systems.
- Background in training delivery and intranet/web design.
- Experience in public sector or policing environments.
- Resilient, confident, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with roster management in a policing or operational context.
