Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for IT and Indirect categories? We’re looking for a Category Manager – IT to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering value, reducing risk, and driving procurement excellence across the business.
About the Role
As Category Manager – IT, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and the wider procurement team to source and manage third-party contracts that support our IT and Indirect services. You’ll be responsible for ensuring procurement activity aligns with company policies, delivers value for money, and supports operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and procurement of IT and Indirect services, ensuring value for money and service quality.
- Manage competitive tendering processes and negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement.
- Resolve supplier disputes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and HSEQ standards.
- Support procurement systems and reporting to enhance team performance.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Knowledge:
- Proven experience in IT and Indirect procurement.
- Strong understanding of the full procurement lifecycle.
- Skilled in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
- Familiarity with key contractual terms and supplier performance management.
Skills & Behaviours:
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
Qualifications:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Minimum CIPS Level 4 (working towards Level 6 desirable).
