We are seeking a dedicated Change Enablement Practitioner to support the Change Enablement Practice Manager at a prestigious university. This role is crucial for implementing and maturing a robust Change Enablement process, which is fundamental to the IT support service provided to staff, students, and associates. The ideal candidate will ensure that standardised methods and procedures, based on the ITIL best practice framework, are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to minimise the impact on service quality.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the daily operation of the Change Enablement process, providing advice and guidance on Change Enablement and other ITIL-related aspects.
- Deputise for the Change Enablement Practice Manager, including reviewing changes and chairing the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Create and maintain Service Management Process documentation, including process mapping diagrams and procedures.
- Analyse Service Management data to identify trends and areas for improvement that minimise the adverse impact of changes.
- Monitor and follow up on actions assigned to other teams in relation to the Change Enablement process.
- Produce regular and special reports on aspects of Change Enablement relevant to the role.
- Ensure timely communication of change work affecting service availability to relevant end-users.
- Perform testing of changes to the Service Management tool.
- Take an active role in Daily and Weekly Service Reviews.
- Liaise with external suppliers, departments, and colleagues.
- Handle general administrative duties as required by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong skills in business processes and service management methods and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and operate efficiently under pressure.
- Numerical and analytical ability with experience in evaluating service data.
- Methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail.
- Proficient documentation skills; able to fully document processes, procedures, and data flows.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification and ITIL 4 Practitioner: Change Enablement certification or equivalent.
- Desire to learn and develop new skills, including further ITIL certifications as required.
