Claims Handler

Reed Insurance London are supporting a returning client to recruit a Claims Handler & Operational/System Support, where you will handle property damage claims and provide operational support. This role is ideal for a proactive and driven individual looking to enhance their claims handling skills and contribute to system support tasks.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Claims Handling:
  • Manage property damage claims from first notification through to settlement.
  • Assess claims in line with policy terms, conditions, and exclusions.
  • Coordinate with specialists like loss adjusters, engineers, and solicitors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate claims reserves and records.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and external specialists for complex cases.
• Operational/System Support:
  • Log new claims and maintain electronic claim files.
  • Support claims reporting, data analysis, and administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with external IT partners, primarily in Mandarin, for system support and management information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written & spoken).
  • Minimum two years of insurance claims work experience.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Comfortable with IT technology and adept at learning new systems.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Desirable:
  • CII qualifications or progress towards them.
  • Cantonese language skills (spoken).
