Cloud Engineer

Full Stack / Cloud Engineer

Workflow & Systems Integration

£60,000 – £80,000 + potential equity

We are working with an innovative and fast growing organisation building cutting edge workflow and integration capabilities across both cloud and on premise environments. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to bring in a Full Stack / Cloud Engineer to help shape the internal backbone of their platform.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join at a key stage, working closely alongside an incoming AWS / DevSecOps specialist to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high performing systems.

What you will be doing

You will play a central role in building and evolving core workflows and APIs that underpin the platform. This includes:

  • Designing and developing Python backend services using FastAPI
  • Building event driven workflows and robust API integrations
  • Working across cloud platforms (AWS and or GCP) with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Handling complex data schemas and ensuring clean system integration
  • Contributing to a security conscious engineering culture across regulated environments

What we are looking for

We are keen to speak with engineers who can bring a strong mix of backend development and cloud experience, alongside an understanding of working with sensitive or regulated data.

Core experience:

  • Strong Python backend development (FastAPI, async frameworks, Pydantic)
  • Experience with AWS and or GCP, including scalable system design
  • Proven experience building APIs, integrations, and event driven systems
  • Background working with regulated data environments (for example healthcare, government, or legal tech)

Desirable:

  • Exposure to security focused development practices or compliance frameworks
  • Experience integrating cloud systems with external or IoT style devices

Why apply?

  • Opportunity to shape a critical platform at an early stage
  • Work alongside a highly capable, collaborative engineering team
  • Exposure to modern cloud, DevSecOps, and integration challenges
  • Competitive salary with equity potential

Important requirement

Due to the nature of the work, only candidates eligible for SC clearance will be considered. This typically requires a minimum of 5 years continuous residency in the UK.
