Commercial Analyst

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Analyst to join a growing team as part of their Commercial Excellence team. This role, based in the UK, is crucial for supporting data-driven decision-making across Sales, Marketing, Services, and Finance for the UK and Ireland (UKI) market. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering insights and analytics that drive local commercial success and contribute to regional collaboration.

Day-to-Day responsibilities of the Role:

  • Commercial & Functional Analytics:

    • Design and deliver high-impact sales reports and dashboards for local and regional decision-making.
    • Manage the UKI incentive calculation, sales target modelling, and rebate analytics process.
    • Provide analytical support for tender pricing, customer segmentation, and loyalty scheme modelling.
    • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support cross-functional stakeholders with timely insights.
  • BI Development & Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain reporting suites using Power BI, enhancing commercial and functional performance visibility across allocated area.
    • Collaborate on Salesforce Analytics dashboards and optimise data architecture and reporting pipelines focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.
    • Utilise tools like Alteryx for data transformation and cleansing to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Data Innovation & Automation:

    • Apply AI tools and automation to enhance reporting capabilities, including anomaly detection and performance forecasting.
    • Support the integration of predictive analytics and natural language query tools to facilitate self-serve data access.
  • Enablement & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Partner with key functional leads and the UKI leadership team to drive outcomes and support digital transformation initiatives.
    • Train and support users in effectively interpreting and utilising reports and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and facilitating collaborative discussions.
  • Technical proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modelling), with exposure to Salesforce Analytics and Alteryx preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is advantageous for data manipulation and automation.
  • Proven ability in relationship building and stakeholder management, with a collaborative approach to driving outcomes.
  • Highly organised with project management skills, capable of managing multiple deliverables and ensuring timely, high-quality outputs.
