Computer Science Teacher – Permanent (September 2026 Start)
Stevenage, Hertfordshire Full-time | Permanent £32,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
REED Education are pleased to be working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” secondary school in Stevenage to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026.
The School
This high-achieving secondary school is well known for its strong academic performance, excellent student behaviour, and supportive senior leadership team. The Technology and Computing provision is well-resourced and continues to grow, with a clear focus on digital skills and progression.
The Role
The school is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 desirable but not essential. You will teach topics such as programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and computer systems, and will be encouraged to bring creativity and real-world relevance into the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – preferred but not essential
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science / Computing
- Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
- Unqualified teachers with relevant teaching experience or a strong computing/IT background will be considered
- A passion for technology and inspiring young people to pursue digital pathways
