We are currently seeking a dedicated Digital Skills Teacher to join our team. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about educating students in computer science and IT, preparing them for a future in digital technologies.
Day-to-day of the role:- Design and deliver comprehensive computer science and IT lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Develop curriculum and lesson plans that reflect current trends and standards in digital education.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt lesson plans to meet the educational needs of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate digital skills across other curriculum areas.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in technology education and participate in professional development.
- Teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification.
- Commitment to obtain any outstanding qualifications within 12 months.
- Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Hold or commit to work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) within a specified timeframe (specific to Teachers in YOI).
