Computing Lecturer

Lecturer in Computing (Temporary) Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer in Computing to join a college in Cambridgeshire on a temporary basis from 1st September until October half term.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Computing Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across Computing programmes, ensuring continuity of learning and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Computing lessons across a range of programmes.
  • Follow existing schemes of work and assessment plans.
  • Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback to learners.
  • Support learner progress, attendance and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate student records and registers.
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent and inclusive learning practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree or higher qualification in Computing, IT or a related subject.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
  • Recent experience teaching Computing within Further Education or a similar setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Computing and Digital technologies.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
  • Available to start on 1st September.
