Job Advert: Computing Lecturer

Location: The Wirral

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

About the Role

Reed Further Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Computing Lecturer to provide full-time cover. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering a mix of website development, general IT, and, ideally, introductory programming.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, is adaptable, and can step into an established curriculum with ease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging sessions across Computing and IT.
  • Teach website development topics, including HTML and CSS.
  • Deliver general IT units.
  • (Desirable) Teach Python programming to learners at a suitable level.
  • Support learners with their coursework and development.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Teaching qualification (UK recognised)
  • Experience teaching or training in Computing or IT.
  • Confident delivering HTML and CSS for website development.
  • Strong general IT knowledge.
  • Ability to step into an existing timetable and deliver consistently.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Python programming.
  • FE teaching experience or industry experience in a relevant field.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
