We are seeking a Secondary School Computing Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator with a passion for computing and technology. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching the UK curriculum, specifically at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging computing lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and technological proficiencies.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for GCSE examinations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the computing curriculum and developments in technology education.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate computing with other subjects and enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching computing in UK schools or familiarity with the UK curriculum.
- Strong understanding of the computing curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in the subject matter.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
