We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Cyber Security for one of our clients, a prestigious and historic FTSE 100 company. This role is crucial for supporting the delivery of high-priority cyber security initiatives, particularly focusing on enhancing Active Directory security. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving project delivery within a dynamic and complex environment.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Lead the delivery across multiple Active Directory-related cyber workstreams, ensuring all gaps are identified, prioritised, and resolved efficiently.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans that include dependencies, risks, resource needs, and milestones.
- Operate within Royal Mail's JFDI model to drive pace and introduce structured governance as needed.
- Assess and coordinate actions to reduce the cyber-attack surface across Active Directory and related systems.
- Facilitate collaboration across technical teams, architecture, cyber operations, third-party suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
- Provide progress updates in bi-weekly meetings with the CISO and Service Delivery Director, effectively summarising detailed work.
- Produce clear and concise reports including RAID logs, delivery plans, dashboards, and steering-level packs.
- Translate technical details into business-level insights to support informed decision-making.
- Proactively manage risks and issues, escalating them appropriately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven Project Management experience in complex technology or cyber security environments.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, its components, and its role in identity and security operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with challenging stakeholders and multi-vendor partners.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, clarifying ownership and driving delivery.
- Confident communicator, able to distil complex details into executive-friendly updates.
- Demonstrable experience in building and managing robust delivery plans.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Desirable:
- Experience in Identity Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), or related identity security initiatives.
- Background in cyber security, infrastructure, or Active Directory modernisation programmes.
- Experience in large, enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
