Data Administrator

One of the largest public sector organisations based in London are looking to recruit a Data Administrator on an initial 3-month contract. The role is a full time, 35 hours per week but the role does require being in the office 3-4 days a week. The office is walking distance from Southwark and London Bridge station.

Role overview:

Data Administrator, you will be responsible for managing all safety event data and directing local accident investigators (LAI) to ensure the collation of consistent and accurate safety event data and evidence. You will play a crucial role in ensuring concise and accurate reporting within pre-determined timescales.

Pay rate: £20.07 per hour via PAYE or £26 per hour via Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety event data is managed in accordance with legal and Brigade requirements, ensuring evidence is stored correctly and is easily accessible.
  • Engage with LAIs, providing advice and direction to ensure robust information collation for investigations.
  • Liaise with other departments and third parties to facilitate good safety event evidence, requesting necessary documentation.
  • Ensure relevant documentation is compiled for safety event investigations and request additional information when needed.
  • Manage support staff, including performance accountability and workload allocation.
  • Represent the department at internal meetings as required.
  • Ensure support staff are trained and developed in accordance with Brigade policies.
  • Contribute to project delivery and lead on projects pertinent to the safety event team.
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively and appropriately.
  • Develop processes and systems to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Undertake regular and irregular reporting within required timescales, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems using IT applications, ensuring the safety event electronic system is up to date.
  • Ensure paper files are in sequential order and prefer electronic files where possible.
  • Provide support during higher-level investigations as agreed with the manager.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and briefing notes for formal and informal communication.
  • Undertake research and provide concise summaries of findings for senior management.
