Data Delivery Lead

• Location: Farringdon, London (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Data Delivery Lead to provide interim cover for a significant data portfolio at a major UK FTSE 100 Company. This role involves taking on the responsibilities typically held by the Head of Product & Delivery during a transitional period until a permanent hire is made.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Portfolio Leadership: Take ownership of the data portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the organisation's technology and business strategy.
• Delivery Oversight: Manage the timely delivery of all programs and initiatives within the portfolio, ensuring they meet budget and quality standards.
• Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to maintain financial control over the portfolio.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders across Data and Technology to ensure strategic alignment and successful outcomes.
• Interim Leadership: Act as a senior point of escalation for any delivery issues and risks, providing leadership and stability.
• Governance & Reporting: Implement robust governance and reporting mechanisms to track and report on portfolio performance.
• Team Coordination: Facilitate effective collaboration across product, engineering, and delivery teams to maximise performance.
• Handover & Continuity: Assist with the onboarding of the permanent hire to ensure a smooth transition and continuity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior data delivery or portfolio leadership role within large, complex organisations.
• Strong background in managing data and analytics programs, ideally within enterprise-scale environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios, including aspects of budget control, prioritisation, and delivery tracking.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at the senior leadership level.
• Experience in agile and hybrid delivery environments, working alongside product and engineering teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of delivery frameworks, governance, and risk management.
• Ability to quickly assess challenges and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced setting.
