Data Insight Analyst - Peabody Housing

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team and support Peabody’s mission to help people flourish. You will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and interpreting complex data to generate actionable insights that drive better operational performance, resident outcomes, and strategic decision-making.

This role will collaborate closely with housing operations, finance, IT, and business analysis teams, ensuring high-quality data, clear reporting, and effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

A key part of this role is understanding the context of social housing, particularly areas such as lettings, empty homes, and housing management processes, and being able to translate data into meaningful operational insights for colleagues across the organisation.

Location: Westminster Bridge, SE1

Payrate: £21.86 to £26.5 PAYE / £27.76 to £33.74 Umbrella

Contract: to start ASAP until Dec 2026

Hybrid: 3 days in the office - can be flexible

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and transform complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Interpret data to produce clear, actionable insights, visualisations, and reports to support decision-making.
  • Monitor demographic, operational, and regulatory trends to inform housing strategies, lettings performance, and policy development.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to support service improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with housing operations, finance, IT, and Business Analysts to ensure alignment on data requirements and strategic goals.
  • Ensure data integrity by implementing robust quality control practices and adhering to data governance standards.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring accessibility of insights.
  • Engage confidently with non-data users, explaining analysis, tools, and findings in a clear, client-facing manner.
  • Manage and enhance reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other platforms used to monitor organisational KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and innovative reporting methods.
  • Apply understanding of social housing processes, including empty homes and property lettings, to ensure data insights are operationally relevant.
  • Use and navigate the NEC Housing Management System to extract data and support accurate reporting (advanced user level not required).

About YouYou will be:

  • A confident communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders, including housing teams and operational colleagues, in a client-facing capacity.
  • Educated to degree level in a STEAM discipline or able to demonstrate strong numeracy and analytical skills through experience.

You will have:

  • Strong time-management, prioritisation skills, and the ability to deliver across multiple projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality customer service and valuing diversity.
  • Experience working with multiple complex datasets and producing meaningful, strategic insights.
  • Knowledge of social housing, empty homes, and/or property lettings, or the ability to quickly understand these operational areas as a data analyst.
  • Familiarity with the NEC Housing Management System (advanced expertise not required).Experience with analytical/statistical tools, ideally including:
