Join our team at Reed Professional Services, a management consultancy and technology services company. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist / Data Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making and deliver advanced analytics solutions across our client’s business in the postal service sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, clustering, and recommendation systems.
- Utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for text analysis, sentiment analysis, and generative AI applications.
- Build and maintain production-grade ML pipelines using CI/CD, MLOps, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Conduct A/B testing and randomized control trials to validate model performance and business impact.
- Perform data analysis on structured and unstructured datasets using Python, SQL, and big data frameworks (Hadoop, PySpark).
- Develop and optimize data retrieval systems using RAG, FAISS, Elasticsearch, and other retrieval algorithms.
- Implement time-series forecasting and anomaly detection for performance monitoring and optimization.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to communicate insights effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance throughout the analytics lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with ML algorithms and deep learning architectures.
- Expertise in NLP techniques and frameworks, familiarity with LLM fine-tuning and deployment.
- Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and model monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field. Postgraduate qualification in Big Data Analytics / AI is desirable.
