Data and Reporting Manager
- Location: Uxbridge with travel across sites as required
- Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- Salary: £46,543 - £50,646 per annum
- Reporting to: Director of Funding and MIS
- Responsible for: 5 members of staff
Join our team as a Data and Reporting Manager and play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility of information within the College. This position involves designing and developing reporting techniques and maintaining robust data systems that support the College's funding returns and operational excellence.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead the Data team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data validation, interrogation, and extraction.
- Implement and oversee a college-wide policy for reporting across multiple databases, including exception reporting.
- Define and update business processes and data input protocols to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Stay updated with IT developments, proposing and implementing system changes to leverage new technologies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with various managerial staff to ensure data accurately reflects the performance across different departments.
- Develop dynamic reports from various databases to ensure data accessibility in multiple formats.
- Provide data analysis, document reasons for variances, and maintain training guides for report usage.
- Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations, funding agency guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Manage the preparation, validation, and submission of all funding returns.
- Educated to 'A' Level or equivalent; degree level education is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in IT with significant experience in MS Office and large SQL databases.
- Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in managing and developing data systems in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FE MIS Software like Tribal EBS or OneAdvanced Pro Suite is advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience in team management and leadership.
