DevOps Engineer

Role: DevOps Engineer / Red Hat SME

Contract Dates: 20 April 2026 – 19 October 2027

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Clearance: SC Clearance

Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for SAP workloads
• Design and implement High Availability clusters using:
• Pacemaker / Corosync
• Configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for SAP workloads
• Configure HA for SAP HANA DB & Application components
• Implement multi-Availability Zone SAP architectures on AWS
• Configure automatic failover & virtual IPs:
• Integrate SAP HANA System Replication with Pacemaker clusters
• Work with DevOps teams to ensure HA components are deployed via:
• Terraform / CloudFormation
• Conduct HA/DR testing, failover drills, and root cause analysis

Required Skills:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) - Primary skills
• Red Hat clustering on AWS - Primary skills
• Pacemaker / Corosync clustering - Primary skills
• Ansible for configuration management
• Understanding of IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation) for repeatable HA deployments
• SAP HA/DR best practices
• SAP on AWS fundamentals
