DevOps

Reed Technology  is working with an amazing company located in Edinburgh, seeking a DevOps to join their team on an initially  6-month contract basis (Inside IR35 working via an Umbrella Company).

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

  • Support smooth transitions from development to operations, ensuring operational readiness.

  • Provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of systems, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a DevOps engineer, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.

  • Solid experience with AWS, ideally including AWS DevOps Engineer certification.

  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure changes, applying appropriate change management processes.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (K8s), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Docker, and AWS Lambda.

  • Previous experience working closely with developers, testers and the remaining technical team.

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, including implementing security changes and addressing security issues.

  • Exposure to Ping Identity – formerly known as ForgeRock is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • Initial 6-month contract Inside IR35, with the possibility to extend.

  • Daily rate up to £400 / day.

  • Hybrid working (1 to 2 days per week, on-site in Edinburgh).
