My client is seeking an Ecommerce Trading Executive to play a pivotal role in enhancing the day-to-day trading performance and optimisation of our online store. This role is perfect for someone with a robust background in ecommerce, combining skills in commercial strategy, merchandising, and digital operations to drive site performance and customer engagement.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Execute and manage daily site trading operations, including product uploads, pricing updates, markdowns, and maintenance of catalogue, menu, and editorial pages.
- Own and evolve the trading and merchandising calendar, aligning with key campaigns, launches, and commercial priorities.
- Monitor on-site performance and support reporting on key metrics, using insights to inform trading decisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate product launches in coordination with the Merchandising team.
- Maintain exceptional site hygiene, ensuring accuracy across product data, navigation, pricing, imagery, and availability.
- Conduct daily site audits to identify and resolve issues impacting conversion, customer experience, or overall brand presentation.
- Update the Shopify website regularly, adding new assets, copy, and product information.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in an ecommerce trading, digital merchandising, or ecommerce operations role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify is essential.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence in managing large data sets.
- Experience with bulk upload tools such as Matrixify (or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail with a highly organised, process-driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with digital asset management and CRM platforms.
- Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite experience.
- SEO knowledge is preferable.
