FP&A Manager (SaaS)

Join a leading supplier of corporation tax and regulatory reporting software as an FP&A Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to own the forward-looking aspects of the finance function, including planning, forecasting, and commercial business partnering. You will report directly to the Finance Director and engage closely with the private equity sponsor, playing a crucial role in shaping the financial narrative of the business.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Planning and Modelling: Design and build the next-generation finance model, own the annual budget, and manage quarterly re-forecasting. Maintain a 13-week cash forecast and long-term liquidity views.
• Sponsor, Board, and Lender Reporting: Manage monthly reporting, including performance commentary and narrative for the private equity sponsor and board. Support lender reporting alongside the Finance Director.
• SaaS Metrics and Commercial Insight: Oversee key SaaS metrics such as ARR/CARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, and LTV:CAC. Conduct product and customer profitability analysis, and manage discount governance and pricing analysis.
• Commercial Business Partnering: Collaborate with commercial leadership on bookings, pipeline, renewals, and growth initiatives. Oversee capex and investment appraisal.
• M&A Activities: Build acquisition models, support financial due diligence, and integrate acquired budgets and forecasts into group planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience.
• Experience in a SaaS or recurring-revenue business, with a deep understanding of ARR mechanics and SaaS metrics.
• Expertise in financial modelling, including driver-based and three-statement models.
• Strong commercial and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with business partners and sponsors effectively.
• Experience in acquisitive groups and familiarity with integration of acquired budgets/reporting is preferred.
• Proficiency in systems like NetSuite and Salesforce is valuable, though not mandatory.
