Field Engineer
We are recruiting for an AV Engineer position with my client, an established systems integrator delivering Audio Visual, Unified Communications and collaboration solutions to major organisations across the UK.
Main Duties:

Installation, configuration and testing of AV systems.

Produce and update technical documentation.

Review and advise on technical solution design.

Pre-site system staging configuration and testing.

System commissioning and handover.

Planning AV, IP networks, working with the client to ensure IT protocols and network security policies are adhered to.

To be fully involved in all onsite installation activities without exception where assigned, this may at times include first or second fix tasks in advance of configuration works.

Excellent technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognise when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Ensure all works are completed to Cinos internal standards.

Excellent / Accurate interpretation of any provided technical documentation to ensure on-site install works are carried out correctly and accurately.

To ensure the termination and connection of all cabling and equipment is carried out to the highest standard, labelled, and installed neatly in accordance with standards.

Follow up directly any issues or technical questions with manufacturers.
Role Requirements:
- Previous Audio-Visual installation experience
- UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Ability to stay away for projects with customers that are across the country (approximately 30% of the time)
- Exposure to Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS, Biamp or Cisco technologies
- Be comfortable in Customer-facing environments
The salary is flexible depending on experience, but the base would likely be £38,000 - £45,000 with full door to door pay meaning most engineers are earning an additional 15% extra.
