Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy are currently partnered exclusively with a growing IT Services company who are seeking a detail orientated Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.The company are open to candidates seeking part time or full time hours.

Working in fully office-based role within a team of two, this is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive candidate seeking the chance to work in a varied accounting role and develop their skills as the business grows.Experience of using Xero would be desired alongside strong attention to detail and good organisational skills as well a background within a similar accounting role.Duties for the role include

  • Prepare and send sales invoices in a timely fashion
  • Credit control ensuring that customers pay according to their terms and chasing any overdue invoices.
  • Reconcile sales in Xero with our internal bespoke system
  • Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements
  • Maintain the purchase order system
  • Process business expenses
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
