We’re looking for a talented Data & Finance Analyst to join our client's team.This role blends data analytics, reporting, financial insight, and system support offering real variety and the chance to shape decision-making across the organisation.

About the Role

As a Data & Finance Analyst, you'll work with operational and finance teams to deliver reporting, analyse performance, and support the systems that help the business run efficiently. Your insights will help improve customer experience, strengthen financial performance, and contribute to strategic planning.

You’ll move between dashboards, KPI tracking, forecasting support, financial modelling, identifying trends, and training teams to use data confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Designing and maintaining executive dashboards and operational reports
• Tracking KPIs relating to revenue, utilisation, customer trends, and business performance
• Providing ad-hoc analysis to support both strategic and operational decisions

Financial Insight & Performance Analysis

• Supporting the Finance team with forecasting, budgeting, and month-end analysis
• Analysing revenue drivers, margins, and cost trends to support financial planning
• Reviewing performance against targets and identifying areas for improvement
• Providing data-driven insight for pricing, promotions, and commercial decision-making

Systems & Functional Support

• Acting as the main point of contact for reporting and analytics system queries
• Troubleshooting data and reporting issues across operational and finance-related systems
• Supporting system improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and governance across platforms

Business Optimisation & Insight

• Identifying trends that improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Analysing customer segmentation, retention, and lifetime value
• Recommending improvements based on analytical findings

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Working with directors, department heads, and finance teams to understand reporting needs
• Presenting insights in a clear, concise, and actionable format
• Training users on dashboards, financial reports, and data interpretation
• Helping embed a data-driven mindset across the organisation

Essential Experience

• Previous experience in a Business Intelligence, Finance Analyst, or similar role
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modelling, advanced formulas)
• Experience with:
  • Power BI (incl. DAX & M Language)
  • SQL / SSMS
  • Microsoft Fabric
• Experience working with financial data, reporting, or supporting finance teams
• Strong presentation and communication skills
