Financial Reporting & Systems Analyst

REED Finance are working in partnership with an SME Client based in Christchurch recruiting a Financial Reporting & Systems Analyst

Location: Near Christchurch
Salary: Up to £50,000 (potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate)
Working Pattern: Primarily office-based with potential hybrid flexibility (up to 1 day from home for the right candidate)
Hours: Full-time, 5.30am - 5pm (Flex on start and finish times - 40 hours per week)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting & Systems Analyst to support group reporting, data consolidation, and systems development across multiple entities. This is a permanent position replacing a previous fixed-term role and would suit a technically strong analyst with finance exposure and a passion for data, reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate financial data from multiple systems (Cube MRI, Xero and Sage Intacct).
  • Develop and maintain group-level financial reports and dashboards.
  • Produce weekly KPI reports for senior leadership and the CFO.
  • Support the creation of a centralised reporting and data-lake approach.
  • Ensure data integrity within core systems, including maintaining records and supporting reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with ongoing reporting and systems improvement projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Experience analysing and manipulating large datasets.
  • Ability to deliver reporting and analytics projects.
  • Good understanding of finance concepts such as P&L reporting, suppliers and financial data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Desirable Experience

  • Power BI.
  • Microsoft Fabric or data lake technologies.
  • Experience in financial reporting or finance systems environments.
  • Relevant degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance or similar.
