Job Overview
The Head of Digital Operations is a key role within our Digital Services function, responsible for the operational effectiveness of our digital estate. This includes ensuring the availability, accessibility, reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of all digital systems, services, and networks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, delivery, and performance of all operations including support, maintenance, vulnerability management, and service management.
- Ensure all digital systems and networks are available, accessible, secure, and operationally effective.
- Manage major incidents, expedite resolutions, and oversee major incident reviews.
- Lead ITIL processes across the teams for all technical services.
- Develop and execute the technology operations roadmap, maintaining technology roadmaps and service design diagrams.
- Direct supplier and contract management of managed service contracts, ensuring suppliers deliver against contractual obligations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the team.
Key Skills / Competencies Required
- Leadership: Experience leading technical teams and managing supplier relationships to sustain and support digital operations.
- Strategic Management: Ability to oversee complex service delivery and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Microsoft tools, ServiceNow, Cisco networking technologies, and cloud-based infrastructure management.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead in a distributed/hybrid environment and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Summary for Temporary Cover
This temporary role involves leading a newly created team responsible for various aspects of digital operations. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office in London. The role includes managing service delivery, ensuring operational effectiveness, and leading the transition of projects into operational support.
