A welcoming and supportive school in the Lewes area is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable ICT/Computing Teacher to join their team on a part-time supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students in digital technology, computing, and ICT while contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging ICT and Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement, confidence, and independent learning.
• Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
• Support students in developing their digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure continuity of learning during the supply period.
• Participate in staff meetings and school activities where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching ICT and/or Computing within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology and digital learning.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of different abilities and backgrounds.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly to new school environments.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
