IT Assistant

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for supporting users and making IT work seamlessly? The Metropolitan Police, one of our largest public sector clients in London are looking for an IT Assistant to join their Directorate Legal Services (DLS) on an initial 6-month contract.

DLS provides a wide range of legal advice and support to the Metropolitan Police and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), covering everything from civil litigation and commercial law to operational policing and family disclosure.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential to Go Permanent)

Working time: Full time, Monday to Friday – 36 hours per week Location: Holborn, London (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office)Pay: £18.70 per hour (PAYE) / £23.71 per hour (Umbrella) – approximately £35k per annum

Hiring Process: One stage in person Interview divided into two parts, 45 minutes assessment to test computer literacy and then followed by a 30-minute face-to-face interview.

About the Role:

As an IT Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting users across the organisation. You’ll be part of a collaborative IT team, offering assistance both in person and over the phone, and handling a variety of software, hardware, and information management tasks.

What You’ll Need:

• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Ability to troubleshoot 1st line support issues confidently.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to users of all levels.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with self-motivation and discipline.
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment is highly desirable.
