REED Technology are delighted to partner with an excellent and award winning manufacturing organisation who are seeking an IT Manager to join their team.

is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment where you will play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth running of hardware systems across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line IT support via in-person, telephone, and email channels, delivering professional and courteous assistance.
• Manage IT hardware assets using the organisation’s tracking system, ensuring accurate records and effective housekeeping.
• Offer hardware support for production-critical equipment including terminals, scanners, PDAs, and label printers.
• Prioritise support tickets, effectively scheduling tasks and escalating complex issues when required.
• Apply diagnostic tools and structured troubleshooting to efficiently resolve technical problems.
• Utilise online resources such as software updates, drivers, and forums to assist in issue resolution.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s software and hardware platforms.
• Provide on-site technical support, including hardware installations, system configurations, software upgrades, and phone system management.
• Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, peripherals, and assist with computer builds.
• Validate the resolution of technical issues, ensuring appropriate documentation of outcomes.
• Analyse support trends to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions.
• Support network administration tasks, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP systems, and firewall/router management.
• Deliver IT training to staff.
• Collaborate with the group IT Manager to support key projects and IT service improvements.
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenant and on-premises Active Directory environments.
• Manage the Azure platform, including Intune and Endpoint Compliance.
• Configure and maintain virtual environments using Hyper-V.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT support role, ideally within a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of desktop, laptop, and server hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V and Azure HCI.
• Proficient in implementing and managing backup solutions.
• Solid experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, and related services.
• Practical knowledge of Active Directory administration.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems (client and server).
• Skilled in network troubleshooting and the use of diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with a range of system diagnostic and support utilities.
