IT Procurement Manager

Join a leading provider of insurance and wealth management solutions as our IT Procurement Manager. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for key IT spend areas such as software, hardware, services, and infrastructure. You will engage with senior stakeholders, negotiate with strategic suppliers, and ensure commercial and contractual rigour across IT supplier relationships.
Role OverviewAs the IT Procurement Manager, you will be integral to our Group Procurement team, focusing on IT procurement to support our operations across multiple jurisdictions including the Isle of Man, Ireland, and Luxembourg. Your expertise will drive the procurement process, ensuring alignment with our commitment to exceptional service, value, and trust.
Key Responsibilities- Manage procurement activities across various IT categories including software licensing, cloud services, SaaS, infrastructure, and professional services.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders in Technology, Finance, Legal, and Risk, offering procurement support and commercial advice.
- Lead complex sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier selection processes to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
- Oversee critical supplier relationships, ensuring performance, value delivery, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Legal to negotiate commercial terms and ensure contracts meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust governance across procurement processes, adhering to internal policies and external regulations.
- Extensive experience in IT procurement, preferably within regulated or financial services sectors.
- Proficient in commercial contract negotiations, including SLAs, licensing models, and exit terms.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in managing critical and strategic suppliers, focusing on performance, cost control, and risk management.
- Knowledge of procurement governance frameworks and sourcing best practices.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively across different jurisdictions and business units.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and systems, such as contract management or third-party risk platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to outsourcing and third-party management, such as DORA and GDPR.
