Procurement Manager (IT & Indirect)

We are seeking a Procurement Manager (IT & Indirect) to join our clients team offering hybrid working flexibility. This role is a crucial part of their Procurement team, responsible for managing all purchasing requirements across the organisation, enhancing supply chain efficiencies, and supporting various functions from purchase order creation to supplier management and contract support.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and support the delivery of UCR/Procurement Act compliant procurement projects across various indirect categories including IT, retail/website, and HR.
  • Focus on key tender activities to advance business initiatives.
  • Manage IT services, digital & retail systems, and HR services tenders.
  • Understand and manage contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with contract law and key conditions.
  • Proactively plan and deliver high-quality tenders, collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
  • Offer support on key business initiatives and projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified or working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent degree/professional qualification
  • Extensive experience in a procurement, commercial, or contract management role within an Indirect/IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, GDPR, UCR16 regulations, and the upcoming Procurement Act.
  • Familiarity with Government Frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems is preferable.
  • Proficient in e-tendering systems and procure-to-pay (P2P) systems and processes.
  • Solid understanding of contractual documentation, contract management, and governance requirements.
  • Excellent skills in writing reports and executive papers to support procurement strategies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience working effectively at management levels.
  • Experience in supply chain planning, engagement, and report production.
