Hertfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)£60,000–£70,000 + 15% Bonus

The Opportunity

My client is seeking an experienced GxP IT Project Manager to join their IT function, supporting a complex manufacturing environment within a regulated industry.

This is a hands-on role where you will manage a portfolio of 2–3 concurrent projects, overseeing end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives including system implementations, upgrades, GxP changes and service improvements. A mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies is used depending on the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of GxP IT initiatives, ensuring delivery to time, cost, quality and compliance standards
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across system implementations, upgrades and service enhancements
  • Translate manufacturing priorities into clear delivery plans aligned to business goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors, driving accountability and progress
  • Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies
  • Ensure full GxP compliance including validation, documentation, impact assessment and change control
  • Partner with Business System Managers to maintain reliable, compliant IT services
  • Support release, upgrade and change planning to minimise disruption
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices and service reliability

Your Background

  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end projects ideally within pharma, life sciences or regulated manufacturing
  • Strong experience working between IT and manufacturing/site operations
  • Solid understanding of GxP compliance, validation and change control
  • Experience improving IT delivery or service reliability
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum) is advantageous
