IT Support Engineer

Reed Technology  is working with an established company based in Edinburgh, currently seeking to hire a IT Support Engineer  on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all IT-related queries across the business.
  • Deliver high-quality, customer-focused technical support both onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to hardware, software, networking, end-user devices, and core business applications.
  • Carry out account administration tasks such as creating new users, resetting passwords, and managing permissions.
  • Maintain and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other end-user equipment.
  • Work closely with the Head of IT to refine workflows, enhance IT processes, and promote best-practice standards.
  • Occasionally travel to other office sites across Scotland as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid experience in an IT Support or Service Desk role.
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and wider Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Benefits

  • Salary up to £35,000 per year + benefits (DOE).
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in the office / 2 days from home).
