IT Support Technician

Norwich | £30,000 + Benefits | Office-Based (5 Days Per Week)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established professional services business in Norwich that's looking to add an IT Support Technician to its friendly and supportive IT team.

If you enjoy solving technical problems, helping people, and want to continue building your career in IT, this could be a great opportunity. You'll be providing first and second-line support across the business while gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies and systems.

This role is based in Norwich, with occasional travel to other office locations when required, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing first and second-line IT support to users across multiple offices.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Managing support tickets and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Installing, maintaining, and supporting laptops, desktops, printers, phones, and tablets.
  • Assisting with software deployments, upgrades, and updates.
  • Supporting user account administration across Active Directory, Entra, and Microsoft 365.
  • Preparing and configuring equipment for new starters.
  • Supporting the leaver process, including account deactivation.
  • Monitoring backups and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Carrying out meeting room technology checks.
  • Working with third-party suppliers and helping maintain IT documentation.

What We're Looking For

You'll have previous experience within an IT Support or Helpdesk environment and enjoy delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, or customer-facing technical support role.
  • Experience using Helpdesk or IT Service Management systems.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
    • MFA solutions
    • Windows 11
    • Microsoft 365
    • iOS and Android devices
    • Intune and Windows deployment technologies
    • Laptop imaging and device builds
    • Backup software and maintenance procedures
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Exchange 2019 or Exchange Online.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Microsoft certifications.
