IT Technical Support Analyst

IT Support // Service Desk Analyst Engineer// Norwich // Contract // initial 3 months // £15.88 PAYE (£20 Umbrella) per hour

REED Technology are working with a client who are looking for a skilled and motivated Digital Service Desk Analyst Engineer to join their Digital Services team, providing technical support across multiple sites. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role involving hardware and software support, asset management, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support for end-user devices, software, and peripherals, including installation, upgrades, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including asset tagging, configuration, disposal, and CMDB updates.
  • Carry out repairs and configure smartphones/tablets using MDM tools.
  • Support regular hardware audits and liaise with Commercial Services to maintain stock control.
  • Contribute to IT projects, ensuring smooth implementation and transition of new technologies.
  • Provide clear, user-friendly technical advice and training where needed.
  • Promote best practices including ITIL principles and ensure compliance with Trust processes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in an IT support environment, preferably in a large organisation.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware/software, fault resolution and asset management.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills.
  • Relevant IT qualifications (e.g. MCDST, MCITP, MCP) or working towards them.
  • Willingness to travel between sites and participate in the on-call rota.
