• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)

We are seeking an IT Technician to join our school team on a temporary basis to cover a period of sickness until the end of the year. The role involves managing the booking system to ensure that the correct IT equipment is available and properly set up at the required locations throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring devices are charged, conducting minor repairs, and reporting any significant issues.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Utilize the booking system to prepare and distribute IT equipment across various locations within the school.
• Ensure all devices are fully charged and ready for use.
• Perform minor repairs on IT equipment and coordinate with the IT department for major repairs.
• Manage the movement of heavy trolleys carrying IT equipment, requiring physical fitness.
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment status and repairs in the school’s system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in an IT support or technician role.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving heavy equipment.
• Proficient in using IT booking systems and managing inventory.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor repairs on IT equipment.
• Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
