Specialist Services Manager

  • 12 month contract
  • Location: Multiple UK locations (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
  • Daily Rate: £595 (inside IR35)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced specialist to manage and oversee all activities within a large, complex, and highly secure Managed Service. This role requires strict adherence to all platform and building operational systems, processes, procedures, and local work instructions as directed by the Operational Service Manager (OSM). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining government security assurance and accreditation standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage, grow, and maintain activities within the Managed Service, ensuring technical currency and competence across a wide range of technologies.
  • Design, develop, and deliver interventions using the latest strategies in line with Customer Frameworks.
  • Plan and administer complex activities and strategies, leading the creation and development of strategy & policy.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships across the Managed Service, including immediate and matrixed teams from different Lines of Business (LoBs), 3rd Party Suppliers, contractors, and customer authorities.
  • Support, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a 'One Team' approach and ensuring inclusivity.
  • Champion and aid cost reduction strategies as part of the overall business strategy.
  • Communicate business strategies and policies clearly and concisely.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in implementing and running highly complex secure IT platform strategies and solutions across multiple sensitive platforms.
  • Profound knowledge of TEMPEST methodologies.
  • Experience in detailed planning and costing for large, highly secure operational estates.
  • Proven ability to manage high-profile stakeholders and maintain Security Policy, Assurance, and Compliance.
  • Strong management of government Security Policies, Assurance, and Compliance.
  • Technologically current and competent, with the ability to gain and maintain the highest security compliances and accreditations for secure, bespoke managed services.
  • DV Clearance is mandatory.
